You are an organized and detail-oriented individual with a keen interest in overseeing and maintaining the safety and quality of the borough's highway networks. You possess excellent communication skills to liaise with the public and other parties effectively.
What the Job Involves
The role involves assisting the Highways team by providing thorough inspection, monitoring, and public liaison services related to the highway network. Key responsibilities include conducting visual inspections of highway assets to identify defects and raising works orders with the Council’s contractors or issuing defect notices to utility companies for necessary repairs. Additionally, you will manage customer enquiries and related orders through to completion, including updating website comments to keep customers informed.
