Role

Who You Are

You have at least five years of post-qualifying experience as a Social Worker and a solid understanding of various social work theories and models. You are passionate about supporting children and families, aiming to create lasting positive impacts and achieving outstanding outcomes. You possess excellent verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with children, parents, and other agencies, as well as strong written skills for high-quality assessments and reports. You have experience managing a varied caseload, conducting direct work with children, and chairing multi-agency meetings. Additionally, you have court experience and a dedication to delivering high-quality services to vulnerable children.

What the Job Involves

This role involves supporting children and families by providing imaginative and ambitious interventions to improve outcomes through child in need, child protection, and court work. You will be part of a Families First journey by supporting children from assessment onwards, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and create lasting changes. The role requires collaboration with multiple professionals, focusing on timely support for children to reduce local authority care admissions. You will work hybridly, with time spent both at home and at Central Bedfordshire Council offices, attending locations as needed.
